Terms of Service
Website use, vessel information and the enquiry process.
Operator legal name, registered address, country and applicable legal requirements must be confirmed before publication. The notes below identify information still requiring business review.
Operator and scope
These draft terms concern use of shipsales.ai for vessel discovery, customer account access and enquiries. ShipSales.ai is the website brand; the contracting legal entity must be identified before these terms are published.
To confirm: operator legal name, registered address, country, effective date and how users are notified of or accept the terms.
Marketplace information
Listings provide a starting point for discussion. Vessel availability, specifications, photographs and commercial terms need current confirmation. A listing does not establish that ShipSales.ai owns the vessel or that a sale has been agreed.
Buyers should request the information and professional checks appropriate to their intended transaction.
Customer accounts
Provide accurate information when using account functions and keep your account credentials private. Do not use another person's account without authorisation or attempt to bypass access restrictions on protected vessel details.
Contact ShipSales.ai if you believe your account has been used without authorisation.
Vessel submissions and seller identity
Submit only vessel information and material you are authorised to share. Explain your relationship to the seller and flag confidential information before submitting it.
The intended process is internal review followed by a company-controlled publication decision. Seller submissions should not automatically become public listings, and submitter names are not intended to be shown as public seller names.
To verify and agree: approval controls, permitted publication material, document handling, correction procedures and the scope of permission to use submitted photographs and particulars.
Enquiries and transactions
A website enquiry does not reserve a vessel, constitute a binding purchase offer or create a completed sale. Inspections, negotiations, offers, contracts, payments and closing require separate review and agreement by the relevant parties.
Vessel recycling submissions are initial enquiries, not binding quotations or acceptance.
To confirm: the operator's brokerage or intermediary role and the separate agreements governing any commercial services.
Acceptable website use
Do not submit deliberately misleading vessel information, impersonate another party, upload malicious material, send spam or attempt unauthorised access. Respect the rights of others when sharing photographs, documents and other content.
To confirm: procedures for complaints, content removal, account restrictions and any applicable notice or appeal process.
Fees and separate agreements
No fee schedule, subscription commitment, commission rate or payment obligation is created by this draft. Any commercial charges need to be clearly disclosed and agreed through the appropriate separate process.
To confirm: whether listing, brokerage or other charges apply and the agreements governing them.
Privacy and third-party links
Information handling is described in the Privacy Policy, which must be finalised before launch. External links and integrations may lead to services with their own terms and privacy notices.
Legal provisions requiring review
To complete: applicable law and dispute process, statutory rights, any lawful warranty or liability provisions, intellectual property permissions, and procedures for changing these terms. No country, court or blanket liability exclusion has been assumed.
